| Emery Farm - Fall Family Fun | Committee Chair: Sheri Whitworth |
Join fellow Dondero families for a fun night at Emery Farm in Durham. We chartered a
bus to bring us to a Hayride to the pumpkin patch, a walk through the Corn Maze, petting zoo and more.
There will be time for a picnic dinner if you would like - you can pack your own or pre-order a meal from Moe's Sandwiches.
Click on Emery Farm Info for all the details.
| Kindergarten Play Date | Committee Chair: Stephanie Lazenby |
It's late summer and the excitement has begun! Come see the school, meet your teachers and other families getting ready to start the Dondero journey.
| Movie Night | Committee Chair: Jennifer Tizzard |
Dondero Movie Nights are a great time for the whole family -- big screen in the Cafe, kids wear pajamas, bring your chairs or sleeping bags, eat some tasty and bargain-priced concessions -- lots of fun! We usually host them 4-5 times during the School Year and feature current, popular kids films. Volunteer work is important but easy and a lot of fun - help take donations for admission, sell concessions and chat with other parents.
| Bingo Night | Committee Chairs: Emy Adams and John Bouchard |
Bingo Night is BACK. Have a great time, win some fun stuff and enjoy the comedy of our ace Bingo Callers! In November, exact date TBD
| The State of Dondero | Committee Chair: Cliff Lazenby |
Where is the school at, and where are things headed? In early Spring, hear Kate Callahan talk about
issues including curriculum, school performance and exciting events. Learn about how you can pitch in to make Dondero even better,
and take part in a Q&A panel. With free dinner & childcare - supervised activities for the kids, and food donated by nearby restaurants.
Volunteers are needed to help organize childcare, pick up food and to do setup/breakdown after.

| Dondero Idol | Committee Chair: Open |
It doesn't get much more exciting than this -- a big hit for many years, "Idol" combines karaoke, song & dance and just plain fun. Held in April, this event involves students, teachers and parents and in addition to the show, features a silent auction and food. There are a ton of volunteer opportunities that need filling, but this event goes beyond Dondero to the whole community and is worth the effort.

| Lawn Fete | Committee Chair: Open |
The Lawn Fete is an event held in June and is a large fundraiser for Dondero. Students look forward to it every year, thinking of it as an end-of-the-year celebration. It consists of games, bake sale tables, raffles, and maybe a visit from the Portsmouth Fire Department. Food is served as well. There are many volunteer opportunities at this event. It is definitely a joint effort successfully coming together with everyone's help.

| Teacher Appreciation Luncheon | Committee Chair: Open |
The Teachers' Luncheon is a Welcoming Committee function that is served to the entire Dondero staff in the spring. The chair is responsible for organizing volunteers to send in a variety of hot or cold main dishes, salads, and desserts for the staff to enjoy. This is event is heartily enjoyed by the staff who are always grateful when recipes are provided. Additional volunteers are asked to either set up, help serve at the luncheon, or help clean up afterwards.
